It's so true, Rebecca.

What could cat owners do to ease this situation?

I can think of keeping the cat healthy in the first place, know where to seek financial help and know what options are available. What would be your thoughts?

I'm just interested, what do vet clinics usually do if a cat owner does not have enough resources to pay for the treatment? Do they offer any options? or what happens in this case

Great post..Veterinary medicine has progressed in leaps and bounds. Although this is a good thing for our pets, the new drugs and complex treatment techniques can be very expensive. Hence, an animal's veterinary needs can be a financial burden too great for some to bear. As a result, some pet owners do not seek veterinary help even though their beloved animal needs veterinary treatment.
