Every cats who appears in our life brings something special. Cats teach us many things. Cats make us better. Cats with special needs teach us to be stronger, to go far and beyond, to give a lot without asking anything in return, to believe in ourselves and in miracles. We happily share our lives with special needs cats. Helping them and enjoying every little moment together.
Only being with his foster mum Bobbi Hale for 3 weeks, Jefferson, a paralyzed kitten, brought so much sunshine to Bobbi Hale’s life. Sadly a short story, it brings so much love, tender, and believe in good, caring, and supportive people. Never give up a hope and always fight for your kitty. It is worth every second.
4 week old paralysed kitten came into Bobbi Hale’s life one day. Bobbi is a volunteer and a foster mum at Tenth Life, a shelter in US. Vet doctors hoped that the physical therapy that helped another Bobbi’s special quadriplegic cat, Lincoln, would help this tiny kitten walk again. Surrounded by love, care and encouragement, Jefferson, the special needs kitty, started making a progress. In two and a half weeks the kitty became unexpectedly sick and were rushed to the vet.
Bobbi writes, “In between the vet stays, I was able to bring him home for one night. I spent the entire night holding him against my chest… I was unable to hold back tears while talking to him and in response, he crawled to me, rubbed his face agains mine and rested his head against my cheek. It was obvious for me that he knew that he was loved and that he loved me in return.”
After the next few days Jefferson was ready to go home, but his little body could not cope any longer. The little one passed away leaving the bright light in the hearts. Meet Jefferson, the special needs kitten who warmed so many hearts, who you will always remember:
Bobbi does a fantastic job fostering kittens with special needs. Watch Jefferson’s step brother Lincoln’s first steps. Lincoln was a quadriplegic kitty, look at him gorgeous below:
