As avid travellers who are cat lovers it is great news – more cat places around the world, the better. With Japan being a land of cat cafes and a cat cafe opening in London, Paris now got a new “must see” stop for every cat loving traveller.
Opened in a chic Marais district the Parisian Cat Cafe attracted a huge crowd of cat lovers. About 300 people were turned away with the cat cafe been fully booked for the whole month ahead.
Margaux Gandelon, the manager, says all nine rescue cats were carefully selected for their social skills. Hygiene and cats welfare are top priorities.
Although not every one was convinced. Edward Chrismars, a dog lover, who were visiting the cat cafe just to please a friend, said “It’s a good experience but eating with cats is not my thing. It’s alright to have them sitting on the sofa, that’s OK, but they can’t jump on the table or eat from my plate. It’s not hygienic!”
The cat cafe is aimed to Parisians who cannot keep cats in city apartments. Everyone is lucky to get a spot can have a “purr therapy” which, according to Margaux Gandelon, can relieve arthritis and rheumatism, lower blood pressure and heartbeat.
So if you are in Paris or travelling there, visit “Cafe des Chats”, the first Cat Cafe in Paris, and share a photo with the kitties!
