T That was it. Musty just did not have any chance to jump over anything. Even a short walk was a huge difficulty to him. The back leg did not function at all.
Why? What? How long has he been injured? Lots of questions flew through my head in a second. No time for emotions. I run to the neighbour’s house. Anybody home? The door bell does not work. I know at the door. I knock at the window. Nothing.
I notice cat posters inside the house. I nicely surprised – looks like they love cats.
Musty is very curious and but I’m always confused when he comes to others’ backyards and probably confuses others’ cats. It’s there place, so I feel a bit confused of Musty doing that. But he is ok with lots of cats around and looks like they are ok with him. We have a huge ginger cat around. Even the cat looks awesome, he is a bit of terror of the area! I think it was him who bitten Musty’s head last Easter (it always happens around Easter!). Musty’s head had two holes as a result. Actually it was one hole going through his head from top to the bottom of the cheek.
So I look around. Nobody is there. What am I going to do? I call Musty through the frontyard fence. I think he could come here, but I cannot imagine him going through the metal bars, they are too close.
I get lucky, a woman comes out the house and I explain everything.
We rush into the backyard. Musty is there, terrified. He does not want to come out of the bush, tries to escape. Hey boy, it’s not the best option, you should move as less as possible.
Once I touch Musty, he calms down so I can gently grab him and carry him home.
On the way back I find two huge scratches on his head and a cheek. Was it a ginger cat again? Why the leg does not move then?

Just wondering what area you are in as we see a huge ginger cat around alot in our area but he is a big gentle giant with people and territorial with other cats. He often has a standoff with my playful cat then leaves when he sees me. I have come to learn that he belongs to a young family down the road.

Hi Kev, we are in
Melbourne (Hoppers Crossing). Amazingly, the ginger cat that lives near us behaves exactly as you described! :) I personally like that ginger cat (even he is not friendly with other cats :-). He is gorgeous. I could not describe him better than you did “a big gentle giant”.
One lady told me that ginger cats can be aggressive towards other cats. I’m wondering if it is applicable to all ginger cats or not. They are little tigers indeed :)
