V Very early in the morning, when the sun arose, I went to call him again. I could not hear anything and started to get more worried. I call again and I hear meow. I’m sure that sound like Musty! But why does not he jump over the fence and come home?
I called and called, he was responding with meow like “come to me”. I went upstairs but could not see him. But I clearly heard him. He was somewhere near, but for some reason he could not go farther there he was at the moment.
I called him, and sometimes he did not respond. I went terrified because we have a pool nearby and my mind drawn the terrible pictures of a cat trapped inside the pool, not eating or drinking the whole night and… god knows what could that be!
I used my magic skills to look over the fence and… there was Musty!
Clearly tired and dirty, with big scared eyes, he was looking at me from the ground.
Musty, jump! Come here, babe! – I was calling. He clearly wanted to jump but something did not allow him to do that. I lowered my hands offering help, but the fence was too high for both of us.
Two our other cats were standing near the fence meowing to Musty their cat thoughts.
I looked at him. Musty stood in desire to jump and… he could not. I was shocked. Then he started to go away from the fence and I, terrified, noticed that his back leg does not function. The leg just did not look right. It went along his body and not as it usually does.
